Raising an Angler Seminars
There are a lot of seminars out there that cover basics for kids and advanced tactics for adults, but this is the first seminar that focuses on teaching adults how to take a kid fishing successfully. “Raising an Angler” is a seminar that teaches adults what it takes to raise kids that enjoy and respect God, fishing and the outdoors. Presented by Peter or Daniel Olson, owners of Missouri Secrets Tackle & Secrets to Fishing TV and ND FCA Outdoors Director Geremy Olson. "Raising an Angler" covers the steps to planning and implementing a successful fishing trip with kids and more importantly how these same steps are a Biblical blueprint to raising kids who love and trust in God. Each seminar can be customized as needed and can include a kids rod and reel giveaway. This seminar can be scheduled as a part of a ND FCA Outdoors fundraising event or with a one time donation.
Day on the Water Challenge
Here is the Challenge. Invite someone who God has put on your heart to spend a day on the water with you hunting, fishing, boating, kayaking, canoeing, skiing or whatever else you like to do on the water. Next go with only one question and purpose. Here is the question"How are you doing?" Don't try to have the answers or fix anything, take the day to listen....listen....listen. Again, after you have asked it take the time to listen and understand, that's it. If you have any questions or need help with what God is doing through you give us a call.
ND Director
Geremy Olson grew up in the outdoors loving and enjoying life. When he was in second grade Geremy was diagnosed with dyslexia, which was the first major challenge for him to overcome in his life. During high school he was a leader in multiple organizations like Youth for Christ and Child Evangelism Fellowship and achieved the rank of Eagle Scout and received his American Farmer degree from FFA. He graduated high school with honors and went on to Northwestern College in St. Paul, MN where he graduated with a degree in Bible and Broadcasting.
After college, Geremy started a career in broadcast television and live event work that lead to the creation of 241 Ink Productions that he still owns and operates today. Over the last 27 years he has worked on projects with small teams of 3-5 people all the way to events and incidents with hundreds of people. In 2005 Geremy was severely injured as a volunteer firefighter that presented him with another challenge to overcome. In this case the challenge was physical, emotional and financial.
Geremy has been married to Kirsten for 23 years and they live in North Dakota, where they teach their 4 children the importance of faith, hard work and respect for others. Today he is an inspirational speaker, writes a column for Midwest Outdoors and CrappieNow, State Director of North Dakota FCA Outdoors, ND AIM Weekend Walleye Series fishing tournament director, event & video producer and wildfire consultant.
